Welcome
The Pittsburgh Pharaoh Hounds is the region's leading running club for competitive runners. We provide a friendly environment and support to help you train for that next big race. Attend one of our weekly workouts and meet the team! If you're interested in joining, email one of our co-directors or coordinators. You can join officially for a small annual membership fee.


Workouts
Summer
Tuesday practices are at the Schenley Oval; 6:00 PM warm up, 6:30 PM workout. Locations and times of tempos and running economy (RE) workouts are by agreement.

This week
  • Tuesday, April 24, 2018:
    VO2: 5-8 x 1200 rest 3 min jog (rest can be longer if needed for full recovery).

  • On your own:
    RE: 12 x 400.
    Tempo: 5 miles.

  • For marathon preparation:
    Remove RE, reduce VO2, and increase tempos (see more in Training).
